This is a wild boar, and for a size reference, it's almost as tall as a deer, and it looks like a bear when it's a few meters away from you. But luckily there are no bears in Israel, so we at least knew it wasn't a bear.
We have these in the wilds of Texas (They have them in the wilds of Texas?) and I think they might be pretty dangerous? I know that all sorts of precautions are taken when they are around... did anyone say anything about that to you?
